I am an experienced trainer and have delivered dozens of film-related training workshops and courses. In all of my practical workshops, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where people can feel comfortable to express themselves.
For many years I delivered animation workshops for autistic children (these formed the basis of the research I undertook for my PhD). More recently I have delivered a series of practical filmmaking workshops, specifically for autistic adults, in collaboration with Living Pictures and Aubergine, an autistic-led arts organisation.
I have also designed and regularly deliver a pair of training workshops in collaboration with CULT Cymru. The aim of these is to give people working in the creative sector an overview of neurodivergent conditions (such as autism, dyslexia and ADHD) and provide them with tips and strategies to make their working practices more neuroinclusive. Both of these were developed based on dozens of interviews with neurodivergent people working in the creative industries.
